Standardized commissioning for the Halcyon linac

Please login or signup for an account to get started

This is a project to develop a simple modern commissioning and on-going QA strategy for the Halcyon linear accelerator and treatment planning system. The goal is to provide a way to standardize and benchmark the acceptance and commissioning process across all Halcyon users.

The strategy is to measure a small set of end-to-end tests with specific equipment that are planned with a slightly modified version of the AAPM Task Group 119 data set. All you need to do is scan the phantom, perform the treatment plan, irradiated the phantom, upload your measurements, and compare to all the other Halcyon results in the system.

We believe the process of end-to-end tests will verify the entire treatment chain and give physicists the confidence that their Halcyon System is running as designed.

Halcyon commissioning made simple

It's fast. It's safe. Here's how it works...

1. Scan the standard phantom setup

2. Import our standard plans and calculate dose

3. Deliver the standard plans and measure charge

4. Upload your results and compare to those obtained from other Halcyon users around the world

5. Have confidence that your Halcyon is correctly commissioned
